Map of Clark's Movement

During the course of the United States Civil War, Clark moved throughout the country. Clark enlisted in Erie, Pennsylvania and served at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  He was likely captured at the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia. From 1864 to May 1865 he was an inmate in prisons in Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia.  In May 1865, he escaped to the Union lines.  Clark mustered out at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
